David Haley serves the Kansas Senate’s 4th District, which includes portions of Wyandotte County. He was first elected to the Kansas House of Representatives in 1994, where he served three two-year terms. During this time, Haley earned a reputation as an effective steward of tax dollars. He advocated for lower real and personal property taxes and stronger representation between elected officials and their constituents.

David HaleyA fiscal conservative, Haley has worked to curb waste and abuse in state government, to adequately fund public education, for criminal justice, to improve access to health care, and to ensure adequate funding for vital state services. He has been the leading proponent of legislation to end racial profiling and increase penalties against cruelty to animals.

A graduate of Morehouse College and Howard University Law School, David Haley is a public affairs counselor and a speaker for Five Star Speakers Bureau.

Kelly Kultala knows the challenges facing Kansas families. As a proud working mom, grandma, wife, sister, and daughter Kelly’s perspective is like that of many Kansans.

Kelly’s time in public service has been defined by working in a bipartisan fashion to improve her community. Kelly has served on the Piper School Board, as a commissioner on the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas and as the current State Senator for district 5 which includes the cities of Ft. Leavenworth, Leavenworth, Lansing, western Kansas City, KS, Bonner Springs and Edwardsville.

Committed to creating jobs to help get grow the Kansas economy, Kelly was instrumental in helping to bring a new office park and soccer stadium in western Kansas City, KS. Kelly was also part of the bipartisan coalition which passed a new Comprehensive Transportation Plan for Kansas. Along with improving highway safety and promoting interstate commerce, this project is expected to create tens of thousands of new jobs over the next decade.

Married to husband, Dan, for more than three decades, they have three daughters, Taylor, Whitney, Spenser, three sons-in-law Barry, Ryan and Louis and three grandchildren, Lane, Claire and Emma.

Pat Pettey, Senate District 6. http://www.petteyforsenate.com/Pat Pettey has spent her entire life working to make the communities encompassed by the 6th district better for its residents. Pat has served this community as a state legislator, UG Commissioner and educator in the Turner School District. This experience helps Pettey understand what matters most to the hard working families of the sixth district.

Pat PetteyPat grew up in Turner and after graduating from the University of Kansas, returned to give back to the community that helped raise her. Pettey taught in the very district that prepared her so well for her future. After 24 years of teaching Pat decided to step up and fight for her community and schools by serving as a state legislator. After 4 years of serving in Topeka, Pat felt the call to serve at the local level and ran for the UG Commission where she served from 1997 to 2011.

During Pat’s time as commissioner the community saw the lowest crime rates in the previous 20 years; gained over $239 million in new and existing business expansion and job creation in her district alone; and saw a $7 million commitment to reinvesting in and rebuilding the area’s existing infrastructure. Pat knows what matters most to our community and what it takes to get the job done.

Pat and her husband, John, have two daughters, Alicia and Andrea and five wonderful grandchildren.

Rep. Tom Burroughs was first elected to the Kansas House of Representatives in 1997. He serves the 33rd House District, which covers portions of south central Wyandotte County, including Kansas City and Lake Quivira.

Tom BurroughsIn 2007, Tom was instrumental in the passage of legislation to expand gaming in Kansas. The Kansas Expanded Lottery Act, an initiative spearheaded by Tom for several years, authorized slot machines at race tracks and four state-owned destination casinos. This legislation will provide an additional $201,708,000 in revenue to Wyandotte County.

Tom and his wife, Cathie, reside in Kansas City and have three children. He worked for 29 years for Colgate-Palmolive Company and retired in 2006.

Rep. Kathy Wolfe Moore knows that if we want real solutions in Topeka, we must set aside partisan bickering and work across party lines to solve problems. As Chief of Staff to former Mayor Carol Marinovich, Rep. Wolfe Moore had to work with people of every political persuasion to move Wyandotte County forward - especially during the successful consolidation of city and county government. In Topeka, rep. Moore applies this experience to bring home results to the 36th District.
